Our first attempt at decoupage

We all joined in doing this - nana cutting, me gluing and the children arranging the paper on the cupboard. It was fun and we now have a new place for our 'work' type books.

Textile Exhibition

Yesterday we went to the Metro Radio Arena to a needle and pins textile exhibition and sale. There were some amazing works of art, to include a beautiful quilt which Hermione had worked on. It features all kinds of different air transport in support of the Air Ambulance Service.

There were some amazing creations and interpretations of works of famous artists.

Well I don't want to sound like a prude, but...

...since when has it become acceptable for toilet doors to be made of glass and without a lock? We spent a couple of nights at the Premier Inn at Trentham Gardens, Stoke, earlier this week. The place was great, but why the glass bathroom door? Sure, it had a slight frosting, but that didn't make it much better in my view. No lock and didn't even fit right to the walls, so in addition to the sight you could also hear and smell everything going on.. Too much information perhaps? I'm sorry. Oh, I don't care, call me a prude but I prefer wooden toilet doors with bolts!
