We have these in the Poole Park ice rink. They're cute! Soloman has decided he would like a penguin to add to our menagerie after watching Frozen Planet!
Oh, they are great. They really transform the experience for the little ones. Miles wouldn't stand a chance of staying upright for more than a few seconds without one - they really enable the little ones to get stuck in and take part :-) Ah and another Frozen Planet fan :-)It's great isn't it? I've printed off the free mini unit on the Open University website based on the series and Hermione and I are going to do it together. There are parts I will have to modify for her but I think it will be okay with lots of input from me too.
Also Bridget, here's a link to the book I mentioned the other day. http://www.welltrainedmind.com/store/the-story-of-the-world-vol-4-the-modern-age-hardback.html It's a bit controversial as it's history from a Christian perspective and many people argue it's factual accuracy. My view is that the narrative is so exceptionally good (we tend to use it most as a read aloud on wet afternoons) that I'm happy to read ahead and make a note of any passages I may feel I'd rather omit. Hope this helps x
Bless you for the link. I'm going to do the toy thing after Christmas, I've got far too much knitting to get done for presents to think about it yet! It's an amazing project though
