Brass and Bubbles

I crawled out of bed ever so late today. When I did get up I was shocked that Craig had let me lie so late, most generous of him! I really appreciated the warmth, rest and comfort after a couple of nights under canvas - I know, I know, I'm a wimp.

We headed into town this afternoon with the intention of calling into the library, picking up a copy of First News at WHSmiths for Hermione and possibly going somewhere for a late lunch / early dinner.

When we got into town the place was really buzzin with great music. I had forgotten about the Brass Festival. There were really lively and energetic bands at almost every turn. It was great. We saw a couple of people playing the clarinet and I think it was really good for Hermione to see the potential of the instrument she is spending most time playing right now.

In the library there was a bubble making session going on. Hermione had great fun blowing bubbles through cheese graters, scissor handles, potato mashers and lots of other things.

We had a lovely dinner then headed home. Unfortunately the unpacking fairies still hadn't been and I guess I am going to have to tackle our camping bags myself after all ...

Ah, the unpacking fairies... I'd forgotten about them, lol!

The bubble blowing session sounds like fun, I've never thought of using a cheese grater before though!

No unpacking fairies here either, lol.

I like the idea of a bubble blowing session, I might have to copy that idea :0)
