The Bard Game

We spent a very enjoyable day with friends yesterday, preparing for an upcoming visit to The Roman Army Museum and playing The Bard Game.

There's always the risk of being overdosed on Roman history up here in the shadows of Hadrian's Wall, but as yet I'm not sure if it is possible to overdose. We're still soaking it all up and having fun in the process!

Friends recently visited The Globe Theatre in London and brought back The Bard Game amongst many other things. Knowing what a Bard fan Hermione is they invited us round to play. You can read more about the game here. It's quite complex and doesn't have set ending event (you play for an agreed time or till the coffee and chocolate has run out) but it's good fun.

We have been toying with the idea of visiting London ourselves. A friend who owns a flat in London has very kindly offered us use of it. Unfortunately Craig's current commitments are making it look very unlikely that we will make it this summer. Hopefully we will get there in the not too distant future though - perhaps early next year. Hermione hasn't been to London and is desperate to see the sights.
