Day of pie

We set out this morning with the aim of making a visual representation of how densely populated the various continents are. We thought about representing the information in a pictorial way and also as a fraction.
We were happy with this until we discovered free pie chart making facilities online. Move over all else - the pie chart has landed!
Hermione quickly had the idea and computer aspect sussed. She was proud as Punch when she printed her first one off. They look so neat and really make the information come to life. Her first one was about how many people live in the different continents.
She went on to make one for the most densely populated countries.
Not happy to stop at that we now also have a pie chart showing the most popular animals in the world. Did you know there are more camels than horses in the world? I was a bit surprised by that. We also have a pie chart reflecting world religions, kings and queens from 1066 and the varying categories and amounts of vehicles Miles has in his 'things with wheels' bucket.
