What a lovley idea, I think we did something similar a long time ago, but it was'nt that successful.
We tried last year but didn't add salt. The results weren't as good. Salt seems to make a big difference
thinking back I don't remember using salt - we used onion skins.

I think the salt makes it 'set'. Last time when we came to rinse the fabric most of the colour washed away. This time it was more fixed.
