Our local authority occasionally offers free activities to encourage people to get active. Yesterday rowing boats on the river were free to hire. Due probably to the overcast weather and poor publicity on the local authority's part (that's my one gripe, they don't exactly shout about these things till after the event) there was no mad rush.

Signs of last years floods - twigs and debris stuck up trees. At first I thought it was the work of birds but there was so much of it and I eventually realised what it was.
