Cross??? Me???

Please tell me I am not the only one who has a partner who defines 'making dinner' to be rustling up a crisp sandwich (good day) or even just opening a packet of crisps (not so good day)???
All these dreams I have of Gordon Ramsay have nothing whatsoever to do with his size fourteen feet, I just like the idea of men who know how to switch on the oven. Honest.

Hi Claire, sorry can't help you with this one - my dh can whip up a mean macaroni cheese or toad in the hole without measuring anything! Sometimes think he is a better cook than me.

I'm right then, it's not just a 'man thing' as he would have me think :-)

Oh, macaroni cheece is one of my favourites.

You know what I did today? I went to M&S and bought pre prepared dinner including the veg, desert and wine so that he can 'cook' a nice Mothers Day meal (as expected by Hermione). Goodenss, I think I'm just too soft on the cookery front. Having to sort my own Mother's Day dinner *sigh*. I think I need to get him enrolled on a cookery course.

My hubby will be in charge of cooking the roast for the family on Sunday as I will be out in the morning! Not sure if this is a good idea or not!

I've bought my own present, but that's because then I get what I want!! Mother's Day dinner will be cooked by Dh and Dd. Don't worry Hermoine will be old enough soon, she'll take it all over like my Dd does. She gets her Dad organised. Funny, it's not nagging when she tells him what to do!!

Oh--my husband cooks--and likes it. And-he's actually very good at it as well. He can even bake bread and chocolate cake from scratch--and make it gluten free for me!

I know they went shopping on Monday-so believe there will be a gift or two. We don't go overboard on those-so probably something for gardening, as my daughter mentioned they went to Hillier!
